IGI 3 The Mark

IGI 3 The Mark are Europe's last line of defense, tasked to stop a deadly nuclear package before it reaches it's destination, London. It would be so easy and tempting to describe how bad IGI 3 The Mark is by making some cute remark like, "IGI 3 The Mark is way off IGI 3 The Mark," or "The lame gameplay is a black mark against IGI 3 The Mark." However, that takes more effort than this dreary, lackluster shooter from Dream Catcher and T7 Games deserves. Sure, it's a budget shooter, but that doesn't excuse the fact that it's a very bad game.

As far as shooters go, IGI 3 The Mark can head toward the bottom of the list.
IGI 3 The Mark wants to be like a Hollywood style buddy movie in this case, a US Marine and a British mercenary who must team up to stop London from being nuked by terrorists. It's a fairly generic but passable plot device, but the game manages to get everything else wrong. The plot itself is overly contrived and makes no sense. For example, before they nuke London, the terrorists need to kill the marine and his sister because they're the only people who can identify the missile they plan to use. But wouldn't the missile be vaporized by the nuclear explosion? There's also the fact that the bad guy's father, a gazillionaire, finds out about the plot and wants to stop it. But instead of picking up the phone and calling, say, the British government, he hires a mercenary to protect the marine. Because as long as he's alive, the terrorists won't launch their missile because he could identify it!
But wait, there's more. The characters are like badly drawn caricatures. There's Steve "Fletch" Fletcher and Austin Hawke, a couple of manly hero names if there ever were any. They like to spout inane dialogue that's terribly delivered. They also fly around in a small, one man jet, which apparently defies the laws of physics because the jet already has a separate pilot. At one point, the two heroes, their pilot, and the sister are all on board. There must be a lot of sitting on laps in there; how cozy.
The plot as silly as it is could easily have been overlooked if IGI 3 The Mark delivered a decent shooting experience, but it doesn't. This is a game that makes the act of shooting a gun a chore. As you advance through each level, you'll battle an almost endless stream of bad guys. Oftentimes the game "surprises" you by having them pop out of corners and cut you down without warning, but after the 20th or 30th such encounter, this gets old. So you'll die a lot, memorize the location of bad guys, and then get past a choke point on the third or fourth try. Getting through the game requires the frequent application of quicksave and quickload, as well as having the willpower to continue.
IGI 3 The Mark muhammadniaz.blogspot.com tries to mix things up by letting you choose which hero to play as throughout the game. This lets you experience a slightly different route through each level, but the differences between the characters are negligible. You can also play the campaign cooperatively with another player, though trying to find someone to play with online is going to be very difficult but more on that later.

IGI 2

IGI 2 Covert Strike is a computer game developed by Innerloop Studios and released by Codemasters in 2003. The game is a stealth-based first person shooter. It is the sequel to Innerloop's Project I.G.I.: I'm Going In. The original, published by Eidos Interactive, offered only single-player play. Chris Ryan, a former Special Air Service operative best known for being the lone successful escapee of Bravo Two Zero, served as a consultant to the game. The box art is similar to the poster for GoldenEye.
The game's plot features a rogue Chinese General, "Wu Xing" as the primary antagonist. Xing orchestrates various events (such as armed robbery of advanced prototype technology from the Russian mafia) in order to get Electromagnetic pulse (EMP) weaponry on a space rocket that he has launch control over. At the end of the game, the protagonist David Jones is finally able to defeat him and stop the launch.
The game was banned in China, because it "intentionally blackened China and the Chinese army's image".[1] It received generally negative reviews by critics.[2][3]

Missions and Storyline

The game is divided into missions, and the story is presented in cut scenes, shown before and after every mission, with animated characters rendered in real-time and pre-recorded speech. This approach is similar to other games in this genre, which don't rely on video, instead providing a comparable quality of visual and dramatic appeal, reusing the same in-game 3D engine for cut scene rendering.
Missions have objectives that must all be completed before the mission ends.
Straight-forward tactics are not encouraged, with stealthy and covert movement giving the player a better rating, rank and chance of survival, with the highest attainable ranking entitled David Jones.
Multiple paths exist for every mission, with the most obvious and daunting being a noisy gun-fight, because in every mission Jones is outnumbered anywhere from 20-1 up to 50-1. Every mission presents an opportunity for large groups of enemies to be bypassed or sneaked past, undiscovered. Certain missions even require entire operations to be carried out undetected, i.e. without giving enemies a chance to sound the alarm, as the name Covert Strike suggests.
At the start of a new game, a difficulty level can be chosen, changing the number of bullets Jones takes before dying, the intelligence of the enemy and group AI, and the number of save-games available.

Halo 2

Halo 2 is a first-person shooter video game developed by Bungie Studios. Released for the Xbox video game console on November 9, 2004,[3] the game is the second installment in the Halo franchise and the sequel to 2001's critically acclaimed Halo: Combat Evolved. A Microsoft Windows version of the game was released on May 31, 2007,[4] developed by an internal team as Microsoft Game Studios. The game features a new game engine, as well as using the Havok physics engine; added weapons and vehicles, and new multiplayer maps. The player alternately assumes the roles of the human Master Chief and the alien Arbiter in a 26th-century conflict between the human United Nations Space Command and genocidal Covenant.
After the success of Combat Evolved, a sequel was expected and highly anticipated. Bungie found inspiration in plot points and gameplay elements that had been left out of their first game, including multiplayer over the Internet through Xbox Live. Time constraints forced a series of cutbacks in the size and scope of the game, including a cliffhanger ending to the game's campaign mode that left many in the studio dissatisfied. Among Halo 2's marketing efforts was an alternate reality game called "I Love Bees" that involved players solving real-world puzzles.
On release, Halo 2 was the most popular video game on Xbox Live,[5] holding that rank until the release of Gears of War for the Xbox 360 nearly two years later.[6][7] By June 20, 2006, more than 500 million games of Halo 2 had been played and more than 710 million hours have been spent playing it on Xbox Live;[8] by May 9, 2007, this number had risen to more than five million unique players.[9] Halo 2 is the best-selling first-generation Xbox game[10] with at least 6.3 million copies sold in the United States alone.[11] Critical reception of the game was generally positive, with most publications lauding the strong multiplayer component. The campaign was the focus of criticism for its cliffhanger ending.

Driv3r

Publisher: Atari
Developer: Reflections
Release Date: March 22, 2005
Genre: Racing Action
About Driv3r

Perhaps the best way to look at DRIV3R is by calling it what it is: a videogame take on a Hollywood car chase. Driver has always been about great car chases, superb physics and car crashes, and the third in the series is no different. Starring the series' quiet but rough, unsung hero, Tanner, the undercover cop once again takes a clever carjacking network. Building on ideas implemented in Driver 2, players once again get the chance to steal an enormous load of cars (in fact, all cars in the game are jackable), are able to drive more cars than before (including trucks and boats), and are once again able to step outside of their cars.
